Hi all,

I've been doing hobby photography for many years on and off as time allows. I mostly do wildlife shots at my local parks and nature reserves and some random shots as I get the urge.
My current kit is getting a little old now so I'm looking to upgrade but most of my best shots were taken with a Skywatcher refractor, which although s little unconventional gave great results.
I look forward to receiving some great advice and conversation from you all.

Hello Stuart :welcome: to the forum

Leyland? I'm an Euxton man but living in sunny Southport now. Where in Leyland are you?

Don't get too hung up about your kit. The most important bit of gear is 6" behind the viewfinder:D

Thanks for the welcome Norkie.
Mickledore, I'm in seven stars near the speed camera. Good to know there's a local on here. I'm umming and ahhing at the moment on a 760d with 18-55 and a Sigma 150-600 C with my birthday money so I should be OK. I had some good photos from my current stuff so I'll be keeping it for spare (some images on red bubble under my other nickname "xscode")

Ah yes. Know it well. My sister lives just up the road from there towards Preston.
You can never have too much gear, the only problem is you never have what you think you need. That's because you will soon develop GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) for which there is no known cure.

Hi Stuart, And welcome aboard TP, looking forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing some of your images on the various forums."Enjoy".

Just been to Wilkinson Cameras and picked up a 70D with 18-55, Sigma 150-600 and the USB puck :-) Watch this space!
