Hello from Hull

Hi all, new to the forums, done a couple of posts ***.

Just bought a EOS1000D with a tamron 75-300mm lens, looking to start photography as a bit of a hobby but at the same time take a few ice hockey and roller hockey photos. I play both so I should have plenty of pad time to work and improve on my shots. Any tips on settings etc would be great.....
