Hello everyone,
I'm new to the wonderful world of DSLR photography and found your great site whilst doing a little research on macro lenses and couldn't resist joining.
I have been very keen on photography for many years, having owned several 35mm cameras before switching to a compact digital Olympus about 4 years ago.
But following a recent rush of blood to the head and a subsequent large hole in my wallet, I am now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 40D, which came as a pack with a 17-85mm IS USM lens and a 70-300mm one too.
Whilst I haven't had it very long, I am thrilled to bits with it and I am look forward to seeing just what it can do, or perhaps that should be what I can manage to do with it!
I might even post some photos once I am feeling brave, so please be nice to me!
