I thought I better introduce myself after lurking for a while on the site. I have been interested in photography for longer than I care to remember, starting off playing with grandparents Box Brownie and moving on to a Boots 110 instamatic. I then moved on to a Canon AE1 and used that for a long time taking photos of steam engines and aircraft. My first move into digital was with a Canon S45 compact and found I was using this more especially after the Post office made a 35mm film canister a large parcel meaning development costs for slide film increased.

I have moved on a Canon 1000d with the standard kit lens and found it goes a good job and since added a number of lenses to cover what I had with my film setup (and some). I have also found I am taking a lot more shots of different styles and trying different things. I have been reading up on the Photo processing side of the hobby and realise I have a lot to learn but with the knowledge on this site I sure I will pick something up.

Lol I'm all for a Essex section just a count on how many of us are on this forum would interest me.

I know Essex has the highest number of archers...but that's a different subject :lol:

more than likely you have met me, was always down your outside range with Lefei and Karlis
