My name is Gurdeep, I'm 28 and from Cambridge. I recently purchased my first DLSR and I'm looking to participate in this community and learn a thing or two about taking some great photos!
My profile name (MitoG) is pretty uninventive, but I am a research scientist working in the field of mitochondrial biology

I recently bought a second hand Canon 600D with a 18-55 Kit lens and now I've purchased the "nifty fifty" 50mm f/1.8 lens. Presently I'm just taking photos of anything and everything in a point-n-shoot fashion but I'm hoping to learn a lot more and would appreciate any help and support from the forum members
