Hi all! Thrilled to be here :)

Throughout my life I've tried picking up photography 3 times:
  1. In school for "art" class: loved it, had a craptastic compact camera, stopped using it when smartphones became a thing
  2. In college after a devestating breakup: borrowed a friend's DSLR and went on a moody night shoot in the city. Had ISO turned up way high because I didn't understand cameras. Photos were crap, but very meaningful to me
  3. And right now: because of all the little hobbies I've picked up, this was the one that kept calling to me

Just picked up a used Ricoh GR III (literally placed the order last night) - looking forward to learning about the camera and absorbing knowledge from everyone else!
