Hello from a Scottish Gweilo

Hi,

Joined the forum before last summer mainly for tips etc but now going to put my head above the trench and try to post photos(going to try a 52 as well).

Had a dslr since I joined the forum and moved to Hong Kong about a month or 2 later. It's a great place to take photos but there is a lot of competition, it's like the national past time. On the other hand I feel comfortable taking my camera anywhere.

"Sei" is death, right?

I live in the Hung Hom Bay area mainly because it is convenient for my job. I've got lucky I think as I'm within easy reach of most of HK and the Chinese border.

Death, damned or bad in the gweilo context. It's pretty offensive.

I lived in Kwun Tong back in the 70s, when I was a cop in Kowloon City. HK was still a Crown Colony then, and I imagine it has changed a lot! Haven't been back, but I still want to go one of these days.
