Hello All,

Browsing for forums to help with my passion for photography, I work in a theatre, and also have a little sideline hobby of being an event photographer!!!

I'm Dave, 25 From Hertfordshire... Used to own a 350D and a 50D, with 24-105 L IS USM, 17-85 IS USM, 70-300 IS USM, and Tamron 70-200 f2.8... I say used to as it all went missing in a burglary about 2 months ago...

However now its all sorted, and i now own a 5D mkII, 24-105 L IS USM, and am waiting for the 70-200 L IS mkII USM to come in from the suppliers!!

I'm sure ill find some great info on here, and look forward to posting some pics for c&c's...

I drove through there yesterday, as the 414 was closed from hemel!!
 
Haha cool. Yeah the A414 has been getting closed on and off for a while now. Apparently they are carrying out 'Highway Improvement' or some other excuse they think will fool people :P
 
lol... they all seemed to be standing around chatting when i drove past!!!

So will, may as well ask now... do we Herts Peeps have any meets or socials at any point??

Haha yeah sounds about right.

As it stands, no. There are a fair few of us from Herts but we've not had any meets as yet. I would like to get a bunch of us together for an initial 'icebreaker' and maybe discuss the possibility of more regular meets in future. I do see a few people around taking pictures but nobody off here unfortunately.
 
ah thats a shame... i don't tend to venture out as far as you when taking pics... normally the villages around me, datchworth, bennington, gravely, willian etc...

Yeah would be good to try and get a group, even if its a small one, to a local pub or somewhere!

Yeah would definitely be fun to get a group together. I used to be part of a chavvy car cruise that went to a pub in Graveley called 'The Highwayman' on Thursday nights. Was quite a nice quiet little place. Could meet up there sometime?

i know that pub well... By any Chance it wasn't "Cruise Herts" or "Unlucky-Racing" was it???

Haha excellent. Funnily enough it was Cruise-Herts. I'm no longer with them but I still enjoy my cars and bikes.

Yeah been into bikes for quite a while now. Wasn't really interested in them but my dad wanted to show me how to ride a bike so me being fairly easygoing agreed to have a go and I was hooked very quickly. That was when I was 13 and my growing interest in them stemmed from there. After getting really bike crazy I started to hate cars and pretty much everything about them, much to my mum's dismay :p When I was 18 my mum finally convinced me to take car lessons and I got back into cars so now I am into both :)
 
cool... So is that your preferred genre of photography too?? cars and bikes??
 
At the moment I'm still just trying everything. I don't think there is a particular genre I dislike. Something I haven't done with my new camera yet is taken pictures of an attractive lady :whistling:
