Hello all.

Decided to join this forum against others on the internet, because having looked through, ive found the support/answers to be honest and friendly.

I have the following;-
Canon 400D
Canon EFS 18-55mm
Tamron Di AF 70-300mm
Camray UV filter
Canon remote control


Joined as i want to learn more, away from the auto settings and how to make take photographs.
Messing around with AV, TV and ISO recently and not really sure what im doing.

I mainly shoot family, motorsport and scenery.

I do not want to learn about Photoshop as i do not like shots that have been modified.

i do a little in photo-shop, but to be honest there is no limits to what/how you can manipulate a picture, sometimes i get carried away:D

think of photoshop as the equalivent of a darkroom , the only difference is
that with photoshop you can undo mistakes and a darkroom you can`t.

hope you enjoy you stay at TP:wave: and taking pictures with your camera.

Took some pics at the Waddington Air Show a few weeks back, first time ever playing with the manual settings. Having seen the quality of peoples photos, i dont think i'll be posting pics:nono:

Post a couple up, people can then give you some constructive criticism :)
Also, as others have said, photoshop / Lightroom aren't always used to edit pictures dramatically sometimes just to bring out the highlights hiding in the picture/exposure composition/shadows etc (when shooting raw) so don't rule it out just yet :)

Captain Penguin........... yes im very happy with it........... but im no pro, so try it first and ask on the forum;)
