Recently joined the forum so thought I'd give a brief intro, great forum BTW.
I moved from Olympus OM1 film camera to my first digital camera (Olympus C2500) a few years ago and, feeling the need for greater versatility - more zoom and more pixels, last year bought a Nikon D80 with 18-200mm VR lens followed by a Sigma 180mm Macro lens a few months later. I'm still very much learning the capabilities of the D80, but the biggest problem is simply just finding enough time to spend practicing and taking photographs! To help with the macro side of things I'm in the process of replacing my old tripod (which can't really take the weight) with a Gitzo 2330EX plus Redsnapper Ball head (ordered yesterday) - looking forward to trying these out soon.
