Good evening everybody

My name is Blaine and although I have had my DSLR about a year now I have only recently started to enjoy it and want to take it further.

I am looking for any advice that people can give me regarding how to get my camera off auto mode and start taking better pictures.

I am also considering joining a photography course in the near future as I never realised how much enjoyment you can get out of it

Welcome to the party Blaine, you've made an excellent choice bu joining this forum as its a community with lots of knowledge and some really friendly members who'll be more than happy to help you get to grips with your camera...

I think the biggest big of advice I can give is get out and shoot as much as you can and post as of then as you can for critique, as its by the advice I've received from members of this community that has allowed me to develop as a photographer :thumbs:

Lots of useful help, advice and tips on here.

Have a look at the photos section and those that interest you - pop a question on the thread and I'm sure the author will respond with how they shot it, settings etc, to give you some help...
