Been lurking around here for a while now, and thought it was about time i said hi.
Very new to this photography malarkey and jumped in recently with a canon 50D. Finding it a brill camera and is only limited by my knowledge and skill.
Interested in all aspects of photography atm from airshows to macro, until i find a niche.
Learnt loads from this site already and hope to learn loads more for a while yet.

Top guys. Hi Brian
I'm new here too and have only been photographing in earnest for the past 12 to 18 months.
My brother had the bug before me but only went digital SLR when I got started with a 450D afterwhich he bought one too.
Since then I upgraded to the 7D earlier this year as I needed the speed and focusing for wildlife and he has just invested in a 50D like you which he is very pleased with.
I will have to introduce him to this site as it seems very friendly and I am sure will prove very helpful and useful to us 'enthusiastic novices' as I like to think of both my brother and I as I'm sure it will prove to be for your good self also.
Its also a pleasure to talk with like minded people on subjects other than work - unless you are lucky enough for this to be your work of course !

Welcome you came to the right place for all you need to know about this stuff,me I am new here as well and finding out a lot.:clap:
 
Thanks for the welcome guys, hopefully i'll figure out how to post some of my efforts for crit and help to improve my pictures.
Must say photography really seems to have "got a hold of me" at the moment and wont let go..!
It's good though. :lol:
