Hello everyone,

My name is James and I come from a village in Buckinghamshire, called Long Crendon.

I've been into photography for around 2 years now and I am still very much a (keen) beginner,so any help or comments on my photos, good or bad will be very much appreciated.

I started out with a second hand Canon 40D which I liked very much...until it got stolen!
I have since replaced it with a 7D which I'm also very happy with (understandably:) ),and I was also given a 5D Mark II as a thankyou gift about 2 months ago...which I'm even happier with!

Despite the kit I now own,I've never been under the illusion that they will make me a better photographer than using my old 40D,and realise that to improve my skills by any means will require hard work.

As mentioned above,I'm a very keen learner and welcome any advice whatsoever on my photos.

Many thanks in advance,
James.

hi and welcome

you are in charge...not the camera...but of course with good kit..you opportunities are greatly enhanced...PROVIDING you can utilise them
some fundamental issues are composition and the ability to crop and clone
the procedures for exposure and focus are to some extent covered by modern camera technology
but a clear understanding of depth of field and speed relative to focal length needs to be grasped to enable sensible settings to be chosen for the relative subjects

whew!!! what a lot of words i write

have a ball.!!

welcome James to TP

Hi James, and :welcome: to TP.

A 5D Mark II as a thank you gift, you have warm and fuzzy friends  :p

Thankyou for the welcome everyone.

@ Wail: It was for some voluntary help in somebody's garden I did over a couple of months last year whilst on short-time hours in my main job...so I suppose I worked for it really? :)

Hi and welcome James..:)
