Better introduce myself, I'm Tom 
Owned a 400D for about a year. At university in Aberystwyth studying Plant biology, and will be joining the photography club next year (It totally slipped my mind in the rush of the 1st year).
My current kit is:
Canon 400D
Canon 18-55mm kit lens (now in a drawer)
Tamron 70-300mm 1:4-5.6
Canon 28-105mm 1:3.5-4.5 (bought this week 2nd hand)
I have an older hobby of growing orchids and carnivorous plants so these are often my subjects, but I do love landscapes and cityscapes.
I will be stalking this forum alot looking for ideas and tips, and trying my best not to ask embarrassing questions.
