Just trying to get back in to photography. And awaiting my new camera.

I have ordered a new canon dslr is there any recommendations for kit I will need

I'm hoping to be off to lapland in December with the family to see santa amongst other things. So any advice on using a dslr in cold weather?

I also hope to get some footage of the northern lights weather permitting

welcome to TP, might help if you say which camera you have bought... full frame or cropped. Not a Canon user myself but a bit of info on what you like to shoot would help with suggestions.

One thing I can suggest though is some warm clothing when you go to Lapland

It's a canon 90d

I have been away from photography for some time and I'm not sure what I like.

I enjoyed motor sport but my time for motor sport has taken a backward seat. From starting a family I don't have the time so I'm going to try and find a new passion I can enjoy with photography. I will see what I'm good at and work at it

I love out doors and I love wildlife so I want to see what magic happens.

I know one thing I need to get an understanding of the camera before we go
