HI I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello Currently trying to find the best way to photograph local ice hockey and experimenting with different lenses and trying too find the best place to get a lens of 70-200mm F 2.8 for a cheaper price that will work on a 5D mark 3

Hi Lucy welcome to the forum, i can't help with he hockey side of things but i'm sure someone will be along that can, or at least point you in the right direction

Sadly I don't have a clue about ice hockey either, but there are plenty of very experienced and friendly helpers who will give you some advice if you post any questions you have in the Talk Sports section.
I'm sure they'll give you some pointers about suitable lenses within your budget too.
