Hello all,
nice to meet you even if just virtually!
My name is Marta and I work for a film production company in London. I've joined this forum in the hope that some enlightened soul(s) might be able to point me in the right direction.
We have here a collection of a few thousand stills from the early days of cinema - from the 1890s to the 1930s roughly and I am organising a project to digitise them all, with the aim of creating an image database that will work as an archival and marketing tool.
I've looked into dedicated database solutions, which are of course great but also cost a fortune... so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a basic yet effective "off the shelf" database that I could buy for the purpose.
I would be very happy with just a few suggestions to research myself...
