Just thought i'd say hi again.

Have been away for a while because lack of internet, used to live on the South coast of England, my family and i have upped and moved to a sleepy little town called Trujillo in Extremadura Spain. It's taken me nearly 6 months to get the internet but now i have it i'm going to use it (If you've ever tried to get anything done in Spain you'll understand why it has taken this long). However in 3 months we'll be moving again to Granada so could be another long wait

Anyway,

Hello all

Hello :)

Congratulations on your move, seems your not the first to move from these shores to different lands - nor do I think you'll be the last.

Well Hi back Lolyton ! :thumb:

Envious I am ... you are moving from the very place I would dearly love to move to !?! :smilenod:

Being nosey now ... why'd you go and more topically why you leaving ? Tell me to mind my own ... is no problem ! :whistle2:

You'd love to move to Trujillo??

We moved cos we just sold our house and girlfriend got offered a couple of jobs in Spain and we thought we'd try the place we've never been to. But it's not really a place for kids though (not enough going on), and we have one 2 year old and another coming in April so we thought we'd head for Granada as we both would love to live there for a while.

Thanks for humouring me Lolyton ! ;)

Oh Yes ... most definitely love to be there ! To be more precise, preferably the area South of the town. :suspect1:

We stayed in Pago St Clemente last November and looked at quite a few places during our stay ... not for the first time I might add - we love the Extremadura region ! :nut:

But ... we are a little beyond the kids in tow age !

Good luck in Granada then ! :smilenod:

Couldn't find Pago St Clemente on the map. I'm not too hot on the region so far, but we do spend a bit of time in the Montfrague national park and Valle Jerte. Most of our time though is spent heading over to Caceres, I think if i was going to move here again I would live in Caceres as it is a nice city, and you don't stick out as much. Once the locals get used to you though they are all very nice and it does help having a 2 yearold running around with you as the old ladies love to stop for a chat with him

Know all those places well - esp Monfrague !

Pago is only 5 or 6 kilometres due South of Truj ... on the road to Zorza ?

Sorry ... sort of nicked your post !

You must have seen all the Vultures at Gypsys Leap then i would have thought, pretty good sight. We have a caravan stored in a site just out of Plasencia so we travel through the park pretty often. Gets pretty dry in the Summer but right now the blossom is coming and the fields are green under the Oaks and the Olives.

welcome back!!!

Yes I have - awesome ! :smilenod:
