Heavy post processing

This looks like 'Dragan' style.

Lots of tutorials on the web (and lots on here)

Cheers Adrian, I'm just watching a tutorial now :)

First one looks like dragan (as said above) second one is a combination of things, including good lighting, the last one might be a topaz effect or something similar, some hdr as well maybe.

That football one is excellent! I suspect you still need to have a decent lighting setup in the first instance (or decent natural light) in order to take full advantage of all the extra details hidden in the raw file.

Hi John

Haven't a clue how to achieve this PP but wow what incredible effects so I will be looking at tutorials as well.

John can you suggest a tutorial as the one I started watching had me lost very quickly

They all look to be HDR and Photoshop work, the football shot looks like some heavy Photoshop going on as they look a bit to posed for the action that is occurring...(still very impressive work to complete this kind of photo)

- Skill wise…as above good lighting to start with.
- HDR skills. (find a product that suits you…i.e. photomatix, or EFEX)
- Photoshop skills (This has multiple skills to nail down to get this up to scratch like the shots above)

Dan.

Yes, I think I've a very long way to go before I'm within a mile of any of those, especially as the root is to start with a decent studio shot!

John - there were a few, mostly on youtube but if you want an easier to follow step by step approach I also found this one.

I also like this youtube one.

Thanks for links but feel I don't really have the right shots to work with for this technique  But will try on ones I do have
