Hi all,

I just stuck a lead to deal on the Bargains sub forum for process paid Sensia instore at Jessops. 95p per roll. Out of stock in Oxford though :(

Sounds like it is the final clear-out of Sensia, that's a great deal, and processing really seals it.

I seem to remember seeing that Sensia 200 has been discontinued. I don't know about the other speeds, but that would make sense of it being a final stock clearance. I certainly got some Sensia from 7 day shop earlier in the year and really liked it, so for 95p you can't go wrong!

just a shame that the nearest jessops is nigh on 50 miles away!

Hi all,

I just stuck a lead to deal on the Bargains sub forum for process paid Sensia instore at Jessops. 95p per roll. Out of stock in Oxford though :(

Just dropped into Jessops Bury St Edmunds branch,

"Good afternoon, do you stock film by any chance? 35mm? 120? What have you got please?"

And from under the counter, all surreptitious-like, came two cut down cardboard boxes containing 6 rolls of 120, perhaps 2 dozen rolls of various 35mm.

"Any good deals going at the moment please?"

Puzzled look from member of staff in age group >21 yrs. :cuckoo:

Pointing vaguely in the direction of the Fuji, "Please, kinda how much is that?"

Quick bar code scan "£5 something Sir".

Er, lovely, thank you. No wonder it's under the counter:thumbsdown:

I've rung just about every Jessops within striking distance of Ealing and none of them appear to have any of the elusive Fuji Sensia, the only place I couldn't actually get through to was the flagship store in central London. Oh well, I've probably got enough film in the fridge and freezer to keep me going for a while and I don't use a huge amount of slide film either.

Tried at Redditch yesterday, full priced only, not prepaid either.

I reckon I've got it lucky with the staff in the King's Lynn Jessops.. almost non-existant staff turnover so they're all there long enough to get some training, and at least one of them is a film fan with a very nice Leica, although all he can do most of the time is offer sympathy on how little Jessops are supporting film except in the flagship stores. But they do know what they're doing with the developing in-store. He commented on my last visit that Jessops might be waking up to the renewed interest in film, I shan't hold my breath. Or expect very much to appear in the smaller stores.
