HDR recommendations

I have a photograph, taken today which I think might suit the subtle use of HDR. Is there any free programs out there you'd recommend. I'd like to try the technique at least once.

There's always the clone stamp.

Oloneo is I think, still a Beta, so no watermark. Its very quick to redraw and provides subtle tonemapping.

luminance is free one with no watermark but probably not as easy to use as photomatix/etc. Does a variety of effects, some not so subtle

Check out dynamic photo HDR it did used to add a tiny watermark in a corner (hard to spot to be honest) Don't know if it's the same now though

Do you have photoshop?

No I don't have Photoshop unfortunately, it's so expensive.
