Hi.

I have been a fan of HDR for some years now, starting of with the love of overcooked HDR to the more subtle sort. After looking in to Exposure blending, I read up on LDR. Similar principle to HDR where three exposures are blended , but giving a different result.

I have only had a quick go this afternoon whilst the Mrs watches her TV programmes, and have come up with these samples to see which people preferred. No other process has been done, just run through the relevant software.

Which works for you guys?

I think I prefer the HDR versions, although they're very subtle - perhaps a bit more subtle than I'd like. I'm not really getting the Low Dynamic Range thing tbh although I haven't really looked into it.

HDR for #1 and #3 - because I like the enhanced sky colours of the first, and greener grass of the 3rd.

With the church shot I think I prefer the original.

To be honest I dont think any of the shots have the extreme range of tones that HDR is designed to address which is why the effect is so subtle.
