HDR on the move

Trying to do HDR with moving subjects is never going to work properly, but I thought I'd give it try when I saw this.

I actually think thats excellent. Granted its not your normal "photo" what with the windmill bits moving, but I think that adds a certain something to it.
My first... no, wait, second HDR came out like crud, I think you've done really well.

I like HDR as a useful tool but, as I've found many times, its very easy to overdo, but also possible to have a bit of fun with it.

Sorry but it doesn't work at all for me - I think it would be better if the non-moving parts were sharper. I guess if it was windy the plants and trees were blowing around and moving?

The HDR doesn't do anything for me like this.. I think this sort of moving subject is a better subject for long-ish exposures an motion blur.

I also think the composition would have benfitted from being a bit further back to include the foot of the windmill, or maybe portrait orientation?

Thanks for the comments.

It was blowing a fair gale so unfortunately what should have been static elements were destined to move between shots.

Also I had no tripod, so I was stuck with using a fence post to steady the camera as best I could.

Not sure why you feel you couldn't get an image without movement. If you shoot in a single raw, that should cover the issue of moving objects....
