HDMI streaming dongle problem

I have bought an 'iconBIT omnicast' streaming dongle from Maplins to use with my 7" Asus Memo Pad android tablet. The reason for buying it was to be able to stream Sky Go from the tablet to a TV in the conservatory. The problem is this, I can either wirelessly connect the tablet to the dongle or to the internet but not both at the same time, when I connect to one it automatically disconnects the other. Now, as I see it this defeats the object as I need to be connected to both at the same time in order to stream Sky Go. Am I right in thinking this or am I missing something?

I don't think it's possible to stream externally anyway from sky go I believe the app prevents it? I don't think even airplay works.

But not knowing the omnicast device it does sound right if I broadcasts it's own wifi network you connect to? I doubt it's designed for the purpose you want.
