Yes
I've recently purchased an entry level monitor 4K that i'll mostly be using with Lightroom and office apps. Would i see any benefit of using Displayport over HDMI ?

Having to scale to 125% in windows to makes fonts readable, they are not razor sharp as windows seems fairly cr@p at scaling but useable. I'm presently using HDMI

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

You can use either, display port can be used to chain monitors together and has other technologies for data transfer etc but for basic video connection HDMI is fine.

Thanks - it was more a case of if there was any discernible difference in picture quality

I use a BenQ monitor and they advised me to use the Displayport rather than HDMI for slightly better image quality.

As it happens the built in calibration software has decided to get all corrupted and has buggered up my screen so BenQ are not my favourite people at the moment.

Don't scale. Change font size. Winaero tweaker allows access to most of them

And please complain big time to ms for making life impossible with big expensive monitors
