Picked up my D700 and 24-70 today from them. Very impressed. Quiet professional atmosphere in which to purchase. 3 year warranty is supported by the same repair centre that Nikon would use. Way cheaper than Jessops too! :-)
 
Nice to hear of someone who has actually been in the shop. I've bought Canon gear off them over the internet but I'm too far away to actually go in. So I'm left with Jessops and L.C.E. which isn't the best choice in the world.
 
It's more of an office really with a dispatch area. They welcome people to collect though. I happened to be going to Guildford anyway which helped as they are only about 27 miles away from there.
 
I got my 60D body-only from there recently. Great price and fast delivery, but there were a few negatives:

- it arrived in a proper Canon box, but one that was for a 60D plus 18-55 kit lens, suggesting they've broken apart a set

- it had a home printed unfolded, unbound manual with giant staples through the middle rather than an official Canon manual

- the battery charger has US pins, though it did ship with a cheap-as-chips US to UK converter

All in all nothing to get upset about, but it's worth knowing what you might be getting into before you part with your hard-earned cash.
 
bought a 300mm 2.8 IS lens off em. Got it delivered yesterday. mint. UK manuals and CD's I would defo use them again.
 
Been in two or 3 times for different bodies.............always great service and bargain prices
 
I got a 7d from them in march no problems apart from a smsll part of order did'nt turn up but after a phone call they put it on next day delivery .
 
I've had a couple of things off them in the past too....Never any problems:thumbs:
 
Posted about a Canon 7d purchase with HDEW previously. Item arrived within a week but received an US import with travel adapter included in box. Was informed this wasn't official Canon UK stock and would most likely be unable to get it repaired (if needed) through Canon directly.

While they are imports they come with a UK VAT receipt so Canon will repair directly for the first year, if you get a 3 year warranty the company will have it repaired at a Canon approved service centre for the remaining time of the warranty.
 
bought a 600D twin lens kit from them arrived in only 3 days after payment everything was just the same as if bought from retail shop IE correct box and all manuals and accessories sealed
very very pleased
