We are off to Hay-on-wye for the weekend, to a wedding

Driving from to South Coast up to Hay

May get a few hours "birding" - any sites near Hay that are good?

Try up at the Stacks.

Thanks, but I was disappointed with the wine last time we visited, but the main course was OK

I'm taking the wine for the wedding, well the Red and the white anyway ……. the Champoo is down to them

but we are staying on a farm - so you never know what's around in the straw

Probably you, face doon, after a day and evening on the razzle.

I'm now immune and I never over indulge these days …. the good stuff is bloody expensive ……… we have a bottle of white this evening to go with the salmon cakes ….. not expecting much, it's Italian and bought in the UK

came with one of these "complete Meals for two" from Waitrose or somewhere like that - bloody food in the UK

Nae really, I have absolutely no damn idea where the place is. You enjoy yourself tho;)

Have a look around some sites in the Brecon Beacons, if you google Brecon Beacons Wildlife you will find plenty of results.

Thanks Joe - a sensible person at last …….. I suppose that it will rain

Llangorse Lake. Absolutely top spot. About 6 miles east of Brecon.

North side is pretty commercialised so preferably avoid it. South side at Llangasty is absolutely delightful. One of my fave places in Wales. It has a reedbed around it and some nice woodland. Anything could turn up at this time of year. Dawn is best.

(Janice is OK too.........)
