Having trouble sending JPEG files

I took some photos at an event on Saturday that was great fun. A few people have contacted me about getting a hi-res version of certain photos.

However, I'm having trouble sending them via email. I've sent 2 files back to my own email and they come out at 64KB for them both. The originals are over 5MB per image.

How can I send the actual full size file to someone else? I'm on a mac if that makes any difference.

Without stating the obvious they are being resized and compressed by whatever mail system you are using (gmail perhaps?)

Try zipping them up - the zip file won't be much smaller (if at all) but it is likely that whatever intercepts jpegs, will miss the zip. Other options are to use something like drobox.
