After getting my film photos developed the first film has one photo clear but from then on the colours are really pale and grainy untill near the end you cant make much out!
Then the second lot from a different camera have a black line, again at the start it isnt too bad but as it goes on it fills the whole frame. the film was from the same batch but used on two cameras. :help:

are you able to scan a few and post them ?

the last few after this is totally black with a tiny bit of photo on the edge.

film, or me?

agfa 400iso not sure which particulaur one, but just had a look and its out of date by quite a bit...

the date might be part of the problem ,but wouldnt have thought it caused the black lines though .have you checked the shutter curtain ( zenit ) and made sure theres nothing in there that shouldnt be ?

I would suggest either a seal on the camera is leaking light, or the seal on the cassette.
If the black line is worse towards the end of the film it's probably the camera seal as light leaks in near the take-up spool, and gradually passes through the whole roll on the side nearest the leak.
Hope this makes sense!:)

Ta guys. Just had a film back which was brand new and was much clearer. Will have to look into the zenit!

i wouldnt have thought a light seal gone would leave a black line ,that would suggest underexposure on that bit of the film ,,here is what a light leak looks like ( two scanned prints )

I think what you have there is a faulty or sticking shutter, I bet the shutter moves right to left consequently the dark areas on the print is where the shutter has momentarily stuck over exposing the film .
