I knew someone who signed up to all their supplier bills with a fake name so that they could avoid paying them for a few months before they moved out of a property
 
No, but watching thread:

A) out of curiosity

No, I'm not considering it myself.
(Plus I wouldn't expect a trivial excuse like death to put off HMRC - they'd just come after my heirs / partners / shareholders as appropriate.)
 
What a bizarre thread.

However, I have faked my own death, in order to inherit unbelievable wealth and property in the Riviera.
Such is life.
