have you a phone on your desk?

how many times have you picked it up to make a call and tried to use your keyboard to dial the number?

?

Just me then? :)

no you are not alone i used to do that until i got the laptop

Yes have a phone on desk, but never used keyboard to dial (worse than that I have actually tried to phone myself by mistake and wondered why I was getting an engaged signal) lol

I dont have a desk :) but i have tried to use the central locking key for me car to open the door to the house :cuckoo: :$ :exit: :lol:

Done the same, wondering why my car key fob won't unlock the office door when I press it.
In my defence, it was prior to my fist cup of coffee of the morning.

I've also used my mobile to try changing the TV channel, although that was after much wine :D

desk, no phone so never tried! :D

slightly off topic, but..... how many times have you dialed a wrong number after working on spread sheets etc?

reason being the phones buttons are numbered in reverse to those on your keypad (top line being 789 not 123).

Generally I don't dial numbers, mainly names in my contacts.

I've noticed it, but for the same reason above I'm not really familiar enough with the phone keypad to dial without looking.

yes and no...

I have, however, been sat with my laptop on my err...lap and tried to use the keyboard on that to enter something into the desktop pc.......:suspect:

i have a large desk, so there is sufficient distance between the 2 items for me not to get confused. I have to turn round to use the phone..

YES!!!!!

Why, why, why did somebody decide to design one of them upside down ???? :bang:

Yes and no. The phone's a cordless one so has the keypad on the handset. Rarely dial out anyway because I'm an antisocial b'stard!

My phone runs on my laptop... I dial it using the numeric keypad... it is however hard using my normal phone outside of work as the keypads upside down.

I don't have the room on my desk for a phone as well :D
