Yes
Well it is back round to time for me to work nights (again) comes round too qickly for my liking, it means my camera has not been out of the bag this week and is not likely to see the light of day this side of the weekend. Means I dont get time to play with any images in PS and dont have time to upload any.
Hmmm nights are a pain.

Do you get the chance to take your kit and get early morning shots on the way home?

Early morning shots, hmmmm i finish at 8 if i am lucky sometimes out by about 8:15, so not really early, and as matt needs to get to work for before i finish i dont have a car so either on the bus to get home or friends to give me a lift. dont think i would be up to getting many good shots after i have finished either, i have trouble staying away to get home, unless bad night and adrenaline still pumping. :( which has happened and not slept till 12 and then got up to go do it all again. not good

I am a paediatric nurse so not sure about taking pictures at work might not go down too well.also to have the time would be nice as well.

Sounds like you have to suck it up and make the most of your little free time at the other end - at least autumn and those fantastic colours are coming :)

My camera hasn't come out for a couple of weeks now, 12 hour night shifts last week, 12 hour day shifts this week, back on 12 hour nights next week, then 12 hour days the week after that. Could return to normal early and late shifts after that, unless it continues a while longer. Still the extra money is good with car insurance due and xmas on the way.

I spent 3 years working nights *Shudder*

I am however, In bewildered awe of the nurses who tended to my needs at any hour of the night when I was in and out of hospital as a kid. :notworthy:

BoT though. Just use the time to store up some enrgy for when you can get out and shoot. Daydream about all those evenings and trips out with camera when you're back on days.

Works for me sometimes......

she only does 4 nights every month or so though, which isnt too bad, still a pain in the arse, I hate being in the house on my own, too quiet and although the extra space in bed is nice its lonely :(

Nights is a god awful shift....plays havoc with your body clock and your eating routine. :gag:

I dont envy you, my ex used to be on permenant call out at the place he worked, he'd sometimes do a double shift then just couldnt sleep at all, we were passing strangers for years!
You could plan all those autumn excursions youre going to do, as Johnnyreb said, wont be long before all the beautiful colours come out.

I have just started my first set of nights in 5 months and they are killing me. Got all of 3 hrs sleep yesterday. Lets hope it is better today! 2 down 5 to go.

Tonight is my last night shift of this run. Luckily things are fairly quiet so I might be able to get my head down in a bit for a kip. Nights is alright it's just your first day off which is a waste as you try to get back into a normal sleeping pattern.

I don't tend to work nights so much now (more on-call), but when I did, I loved it. I'm not the world's best sleeper, but I used to sleep better on nights. I could have quite happily worked permanent nights :)

I enjoyed my 12 hr nights last week. Looking forward to next weeks. No problems with body clock or eating routine. I eat dinner at 17:00 pm go to work for 18:30 start. Don't eat all night just drink fruit juice or hot chocolate.
Finish 06:30, home by 06:50 bed by 08:00 up by about 12:00 if not a bit earlier. Eat a bowl of corn flakes with dried fruit and nuts. Go round my Dad's see if he needs anything needs doing. Spend some time with my sons, dinner at 17:00 and it starts all over again. Last week was the 1st nights I've done in over a year as I normally work early and late shifts.
