Hi,

Im hoping someone can help me out with something.

I have a Hasselblad 500cm, although an old camera Ive only had it a couple of weeks and Ive successfully ran a few rolls through it.

Im having a problem with it now though and hoped it might be something obvious lol. The shutter wont fire, Ive tried taking the back off and without the dark slide. The camera was wound and the crank wheel on the side wont go any further but the the button on the body doesn't want to fire - its there a likely problem that anyone might suggest?

Tried googling dn looking at a few youtube clips - I guess its a learning curve owning an old camera like this :)

Thanks

I assume that the shutter lock is off?

Have you taken the lens off the body or replaced the lens on the body without the shutter being cocked. This will cause problems as the drive shaft will not be aligned.

If the above is OK try some thing simple has the locking collar around the shutter button been moved/turned into the lock position.

Ah - thanks guys. I appear to have fixed it. I took the lens off then changed the aperture a few times then pressed something and it fired, then I put it back on the body and all seems well again?? I guess I'll get to know the camera a bit better overt time lol
