Up here in the frozen north it must have been the hottest day so far this summer, we were in Alnwick Gardens today ( http://www.alnwickgarden.com/ )and all the kids were having a whale of a time cooling down by getting wet under the water features As for myself I have lost count of the number of cans of coke I have had today trying to keep cool. I also spent some time on a roofing project I have on at the moment and it was bloody hot up there:eek: We finished off the day taking our two dogs for a walk tonight as the sea mist was starting to roll in over the countryside and by the time we got back we had cooled down nicely.
I might have a few pics to post later on:), Or maybe not:( I have not checked them yet.
So what did the rest of you lot get up to.

Yup, it was pretty hot & sunny here too ... went out to the marina for the boat show ... was a fantastic day all round.

Funny thing, even though I am normally very conscienciuos about shooting kids, today I've actually asked a number of parents for permission and not a single parent said "no". In light of the prevailing situation with people being all too paranoid, I'd thought that I'd be told off a few time  .. thank God, everyone was in very good spirit.

Yesterday, too, was another great summer's day. Again, went out to the marina all day and shot some odd shots.

I went the Canolfan Trywern, and spent all day on the river, "playboating"

Whilst I could try and describe this in words, a picture (not from today) will be more effective.

Thus:

Bet that kept you cool.

Burnt 26gigs of photos to DVD then went and spent a few hours at a local country park. Horton Bank Country Park

This reminds me, I have to get serious and back-up my photos of this year ... over 200 GB not backed-up is not a good thing! May be tomorrow I'll spend the day doing this, but the forecast is for a nice sunny day and it would be a shame to stay in ?!?

Bit of this, bit of that, then roof down on the car and went for a spin before stopping off at my local for a nice cold pint of John Smiths and a chat with friends.

oh, and even managed to send a bit of cheek in BeHappy's direction too!

t'was a good day

Up at 7am to go to Newmarket to see Marci at the vets, got back just before midday and out again at 12.15 to deliver a wedding album right at the other end of Hertfordshire. Got back in at 3.15pm to be told our chickens had arrived and we had to go and collect them - about 3 miles from where I had just come from. :bang:

Got back at 6.30pm, quick shower and out to a job at 7.15pm covering a black tie birthday party, got in about ten minutes ago and am in the process of downloading the photos as I am out on an all day shoot tomorrow starting at 10am, should be finished by about nine tomorrow night. I'm bloody knackered.

Weekend? What weekend? :shake:

Worked from 6am til 10.30am, went home, mowed both lawns in the heat, which almost killed me. The pool has been filling for 2 and a half days and looked inviting, so i thought id have a dip.........hadnt put chemicals in, did that but they need to be left for 24hours, so the dip can wait for today.
Happy days
Dean:)

I spent a lovely summers day at Oulton today. It was so hot. I now know that the viewfinder and neck strap conduct heat!!

I spent a lovely summers day at Brands Hatch. Got a lovely tan and a fair few good shots. My neckstrap was wrapped around my hand and the viewfinder glued to my eye most of the time so no time to conduct heat.

Well when I was doing the pit walk the neckstrap was slack around my neck 'cos I had hold of camera. I then let it and yelped in pain as it was so god damn hot

Yesterday Windermere Airshow, last night a few beers and to finish the night a knock on the head, a bruised arm and the left sleeve ripped off my shirt, my mate gassed by the Police and arrested, Chav also arrested and this morning saw me making a statement to a rather sexy Police woman in my living room while sat in my boxers with the mother of all hangovers :)

Mate not happy as he was locked up, she had tried to get the statement at 8.30 this morning, me, I slept, he remained locked up, lol, released shortly after me making the statement at 11.30 :)

All will be fine although I loved that shirt !

been to the pub next to a park who serve Tusker Beer from Kenya where i was born and spent most my life.

was an afternoon to think of all the good times i had over there when i was growing up.

Spent a day in the fog at the Sunderland Airshow, saw lots of scantily clad ladies, and got sunburnt.
