Has anyone tried Canon DPP on Windows 8?

Hope this is OK in the general talk section, didn't seem to fit in the PP section as its not a technique type question.

I have just bought a new lappy with Windows 8 and installed Canon DPP. The program seems to be working fine but my RAWs will not appear as thumbnails or open in DPP.
Has anyone got DPP working on Windows 8 or have I missed something silly?

Well- after much reading and googling, I have managed to get it working by downloading version 3.12.40 from the U.S site.

Just pick a camera and select the OS as Windows 8 in the software download section-

Edit- found it on the EU site, you need to go via downloads for your camera rather than the DPP site directly
