Has anyone ever?

I'm out tonight making a timelapse and I see bats flying everywhere.

Has anyone ever shot one of them in flight???

Lucky you, I've never shot them but I have heard of it done, using a long exposure and then a burst of flash mid exposure to freeze the bat in frame, the set up I've seen involved a flash fired by bats breaking a PIR or Laser bases sensor

Interesting method and I'll bet very difficult.
