Has anyone else's Freeview been dodgy recently? Seems better this evening but has been well iffy for a couple of days. :(

Yes, on our TV I had to do two re-tunes for it so display all the channels. The reason I did a re-tune was because some channels were exhibiting very bad pixellation and sound issues.

So far so good now ~ fingers crossed :)

On a side note it also listed a new area for BBC1, East of England....the signal strength is low but but when I checked it seemed fine!

It's all in the air pressure

This BBC article may help explain things a bit

First apparent symptom was sporadic drop out of several channels, with 1-5 being unaffected (along with some others|). A retune left us with a vastly reduced channel list, although most of the listed ones were fairly stable. During the retune, I saw that a lot of the marginal channels were at 1-40% signal strength which seems way to low for the official BBC excuse as posted by Keith below. Mrs Nod had a look and said there was some essential tower maintenance being done and that seems more likely (from the Freeview site rather than the BBC's.)

Had all the channels been affected similarly, I could accept that explanation but since some were affected to the point of extinction while others remained at full strength, I am more doubtful.

Anyway, all's back to normal now so back to the (oft repeated!) funnies. :D
