Harrison Cameras and UPS = Argggh!!!!

Just a general rant.

Phoned Harrison cameras yesterday to order a bag for an upcomning trip and placed an order as they guaranteed delivery today, so ordered it and took a day off work for it to arrive.

Its now after UPS last delivery time and you guessed it no delivery :bang:

Tried to phone the shop to get tracking details as they dont put it in their dispatch emails and they are shut. Phoned UPS and they wont even talk to me without the tracking number which I cant get until tomorrow.

So after what I though was a pleasant transaction, I am now peed off.

If anyone from the shop is members here, please please please update your system to send tracking details to your customers!

I dont understand, how difficult is it for them to put the tracking number in the email??
 
They prob have an excuse along the lines of "you live in Scotland" & prob class that as "the highlands" and so deliveries wont be on "next day" classed delivery - or something along the lines of that....
 
Steve, if they say that to me they can keep their business, i'll go elsewhere :D
 
I wouldn't get worked up about lack of tracking details for the Useless Parcel Service. The one and only time I've used them the tracking told me they had attempted to deliver it to me that day and there was no-one home. The fact that it was in their Cumbernauld depot 170 miles away was just a minor detail! It got even worse than that afterwards, mind. And I can certainly relate to taking the day off for the absolutely guaranteed delivery that day. Not. :bang:
 
I've taken numerous days off for deliveries only to find that they dispatched the goods on the day that I had off & delivered it the day after :bang:

Now I pay the extra couple of quid an get it delivered for a Saturday (pending on whose delivering it)....
