Hi, Trying to use a Nexus 7 tablet outside but just cannot see the screen in daylight/sunshine anyone no of some kind of hood like the ones you can use on the back screen of a camera or any other options that work?

Turn off auto brightness and manually set it to maximum? Is the front sensor clean so it can measure the light level correctly?
Also, what version N7 is it? I've got both and they're equally good in strong light.

Hi, I have the Google ASUS Nexus 7 32GB, Wi-Fi, 7in - Black 1st gen.
I only bought it to use as a larger screen option for the camera.
I looked at the brightness options and it does not have an option for auto brightness but does have an option for Adaptive Brightness.
Thanks
Russ

Is it running Android 5.0 by any chance, if so then "Adaptive Brightness" is essentially auto now, disable and then tweak brightness to Max :)
