Well I took delivery of my ew camera today, it's only a Fuji S1000fd, fairly basic, but much better than the old 5mp compact I had. I can finally start taking some better pictures now, and the extra resolution should help with playing on the Gimp. I would have gone for something more complicated, but it needed to be something the wife could manage too. Maybe soon I'll invest in something bigger

True I meant more something with bigger options for expansion lol. Although the S1000fd has plenty of options to play with. And I've always got my old Fujica st605 SLR. Beautiful old camera.

I started of with a fuji s6500D before it got nicked. they are regarded as a good make of cameras and mine didn't dissapoint.
