Hello all.
I have just joined the forum to get (hopefully) an answer regarding what camera fits my needs. Perhaps the solution does not exist because it's too niche.
Ok, I fish from a kayak, usually in fresh water and sometimes on the sea. I love taking pictures of the wild life I see and selfies of the fish I (sometimes) catch. I currently have a waterproof camera, a Fuji Finepix WP80. This can be operated remotely by my phone, I can see what the camera sees and operate the shutter' this is fantastic but to operate it to take selfies on the kayak I have to,
I have to scrum to the camera mount. (Located about 4/5ft in front of me to get everything in shot)
Remove the camera.
Turn it on.
Then turn on the cameras wifi.
Return to my seat.
(Realise the shot is not framed correctly and repeat!!!)
Take the shot
Go through it all again for the next fish.
There must be a better way
Basically, is there a waterproof, remote controlled camera that can be left on 'standby' so that it's ready to take a picture without having to turn it on each time?
(I told you that it was niche)
