Hand luggage

Hello all

I'm flying from Belfast to Liverpool on Tuesday and have a query about hand luggage. Does anyone know if you can have your dslr around your neck or does it need to be in a bag?

Normally it can be around your neck if you want it to, but is Aldergrove still a bit "touchy"? I haven't flown into there for over twenty years.

The obvious answer would be to check with the airline and/or airports concerned. Chances are that it won't be a problem but if it is, make sure there's room in your bag (or pockets) for the camera and lens (make sure you've got a body and rear lens cap handy just in case they have to be split to go in a pocket!). I always wear a fleece with big pockets when flying so I can stuff any overweight from my hand luggage into the pockets if/when they weigh it and get snotty!

I've always packed mine (liverpool/Manchester - Derry/Belfast). Can't see a problem unless you have a huge lens. But as Nod said make sure you have space, you can get some difficult security personnel (I've had a few debates)
