Ive been looking for some high quality papers for printing on rather than ordering online and found what appears to be a bargain on Hahnemuehle Fine Art Pearl 285gsm A3 Box 50 Sheets at Park Cameras. RRP seems to be around £145/£150 and they have a box of 50 for £30.99.

Has anyone used this paper before? Im close to buying two boxes but wanted to both get opinions and make you all aware of a potential bargain.



--- I just received an email from them saying it is not in stock, they need to contact their suppliers Monday. I shall update here when I hear anything.

They rang me late this afternoon, can't supply, no longer being made, would I like to cancel, like there is a choice? Lol.
Then got an email saying sorry I cancelled and do let them know if I want to reorder.
Site now says out of stock but stock arriving soon?
Either it is still available or not, just wish they were more honest and said the messed up the price or had it as unavailable on site, as it stands they may get more orders (price still the same).

I got an email yesterday and I assume a call but I was unable to take the call. Here is the email:



Unfortunately having checked with our suppliers we are sorry to inform you that this item is now discontinued.


At this stage no money has been taken, and I would like to recommend another product that we do have in stock. This is the same item although we only have the 50 sheets option. This item is currently priced at £152.99

If you would like to amend your order to the above, or in any other way, please do not hesitate to contact us.



So, we have cancelled your order for some obscure reason but we want you to reorder at £120 extra cost the exact same product!

A heavily worded email is on its way to them now. :bonk:

Yes I have, but they are not saying it is a misprice. They are offering two products that are exactly the same at differing prices. They informed me that it is not in stock but I can have the EXACT same product for 5x the price. They are still offering both products, no mention of a misprice at all.

Nah, 7.6 maybe but not 8.2 as that is 'out of stock' and quite clearly they have stock, just bait and switch to get the higher price for the same item, they admitted in the email to the OP that it is the same item after all, v bad practice IMHO, the lower 'bait' is still there btw if you need further convincing....:thumbs:

Certainly stops me using them from now on, no prob if they had admitted an error or whatever, and considering they are covered by their terms for that I have no idea why they choose instead to lie, seems a very odd practice to me.

Mayhaps you were confused by their saying they only now have the 50 sheet version?
That was what was originally ordered, also confirmed on the phone when they called me that we were talking of the 50 sheet version, in case they had mislabelled the 25 one, which would have been more price like.
