I,d like to start by wishing you all a happy new year, i,ve recently been looking on eBay etc for the above shutter release for my Canon eos 70d but the prices for some models seem a lot less for other makes and models, for example the one for my camera is £74.99p but for a Panasonic its around £20 less, I was wondering if I could use the double ended lead from my wired shutter release buy the cheaper one for the Panasonic and achieve the same end result, or are the hot shoes different, thanks in advance.

Sean.

I bought this wireless shutter release for my EOS 70D a few months back. It works great with no hitches.

Thanks for that mate, i'll look at this one, a recommendation speaks volumes in my book, very much appreciated.

None of the remote releases actually use the hot shoe, they just sit in it for convenience and will work exactly the same if dangling by the cord. If you have an existing cord for your camera then it should work with almost every other make of release. I have several releases that I bought for Nikon that I use with Sony, Fuji and Olympus with just a change of cord.

Oh right, thanks for that mate, I'll take another look at the Hahnel, it's a nice compact unit which one of the things l like about it not just the great reviews it's received, thanks again.

My misses bought me the giga t pro ii as a surprise to pick me up a bit, I've been off work with a right shoulder deltoid muscle tear, unable to drive at the moment, one plus side is that I've been able to get on with an online photography course my daughter bought me as a Christmas prezzy.

I had this till one of the prices disappeared all though I've got to turn the bags out to see is its still here

Must admit I've only used mine in the house as my shoulder is still sore but it's every thing it should do so I'm over the moon with it so far.

Sean.
