so i bought a new guitar. Waiting for it to arrive hopefully tomorrow, never heard of the brand, but the reviews for their Les Paul copies are very good, so may as well give it a go.

Comes with a years warrenty and a 7day if its pants send it back promise

would have got black if it were not discontinued, but for a reduced to clear price of £129 whos moaning! It will probably play like a tissue box strapped to a cardbaord tube, but im not really that fussed, as long as the frets dont buzz

looks a little tiny bit like an RG series Ibanez to me, but im sure its purely coincidental, and nothing to do with being made in the same place...(got to love the loyal chinese mass manufacturers)

thought i better get an effects pedal aswell...so i bought a Korg AX5g too

Cool! I thought it was an Ibanez till I looked at the head.
 
Nice one Matty - if it plays nicely, then the best thing you can do is fleabay for a DiMarzio PAF Pro and a couple of Seymour Duncan single coils - they'll beat the pants off those generic Chinese jobbies. I'm guessing you know how to set up a Floyd properly...
 
i havent had a floyd before, i had a strat, so im open to tips!

I saw some Dimarzio humbuckers on ebay....thought i better wait till it arrived before i started buying others
 
First tip when it comes to Floyd Rose-equipped guitars... don't buy 'em! Hahaha!

(That's only from me hitting my strings so damn hard they can sometimes break on the first chord from new!)

if i had the money, i would have bought a Jackson Dinky or Soloist...but they are far too expensive, and i wont get anything like the best from them, so cheap'n'cheerful it is!
 
was about to say it looks ike my ibanez crossed with a jackson dinky.

Very nice! Funnily enough I bought a guitar yesterday as a Christmas present for my seven year old, he wants to start playing and my local music shop have a deal on some discontinued Yamahas, I managed to get it for £90 which is a bit of a steal. I'm also getting a Squier Strat with graphics for my eldest as he has fallen in love with this and wants his own guitar as opposed to using my Gibson SG (which I'm quite happy about!).

The good thing is I don't have to part with any cash for them as the shop have had a load of poster prints from Rock the Priory and we're doing a deal, the prints have cost me about £70 and for that I get two brand new guitars. :banana:

I think our house might be getting noisy over Christmas.

Nicely nicely. I have a guitar too, but not an electric one. Don't really know how to play it much though.

i havent got any pics of my guitar at the moment, but its beautiful

Fender USA strat in Cocoa brown stain, rosewood fetboard, its lovely to play, needs setting up but i never get round to getting my old flatmate to take a look at it for me
 
Ship it down here with a set of strings and I'll do it for you for nothing but the return postage...
 
ive dropped the action, and its tuned, and it plays nice! need to set the floyd back though its its leaning forward a little now that i dropped the action...grrrrrrr
