My partner Alan asked me to marry him last night. It was totally unexpected! Always knew we would get married but never really thought it would happen so soon. He was going to ask me on Christmas day but he couldn't wait that long (aww)....

So yes, I am officially engaged and a fiance!!!

Oh, and I already have my wedding tog sorted out and not even set the date yet!!

Very many congratulations!

It is all in the timing.

I remember when I proposed to my wife. We were booked to go to Paris for the weekend and I'd heard on the grapevine that everyone in the family was "expecting" me to pop the question there. So, on the morning we were due to fly out we were just sitting down to a nice breakfast when I said "oh and one other thing...."

It was great. Nice breakfast, glass of champagne and a nice bit of Ice for the Mrs.... and she was genuinly shocked as opposed to being skitty with expectation :D
