Grip for handheld video without tripod

Hi all,

I would like to know what is the best affordable grip for hand held run and gun style video when not having a tripod, I have seen battery grips, pistol grips, shoulder rigs and grips like cam-caddie and opteka grips...

What is the best out of all of this apart from shoulder rigs as they are pretty expensive and I'm only a student so can't afford anything too expensive.

Ah yeh sorry forgot to include that info! 50-60 pounds or around 90 USD, and mainly short films and just like a 360degree walk around subjects

You're looking at a u-flycam though.

What do you think about the cam-caddie Scorpion?

It's ok but a but awkward to use. The angle doesn't give you a fantastic view of what you're capturing and if it does then the position of your hand means it wouldn't be as fluid.

Probably better suited to camcorders that are lighter and can tilt their screen.
