Greetings

Hey fellas... I'm Onesmus from Kampala -Uganda (East Africa) so well I'm in preparations of starting up a photo studio as I have just quit my Job with another studio that I was working with... Buh my problem is I'm failing to decide on the kind of camera to start with..I have a Nikon D7000 with a 55lens but it's quite not getting the job done yet I have make sure I make it up to the competition around here... So I'm looking for a low budget camera that can help me fit in quite little with the competition of 5D, Mark III, IV, R etc cuz right now, Honestly, the fact that I'm just starting, my capital is still small so my budget is quite limited but I would really want to do my business and creatives.. I mainly do portrait photography And street photography so I'm looking for suggestions and some advice plus opinions about this all situation. And about a photo studio setup and start up...Thanks

Hi and welcome to TP. I’m a little confused by your post as you’ve asked for advice re ‘studio gear’ without being specific about what you want to achieve, and surely you could easily create that shopping list as you’re experienced using it.

Back to the cameras. A pair of 5dIIIs with a 24-70 and 70-200 2.8’s would be a starting point. They’re quite good value s/h as everyone moves to RF. I ended up shooting with mostly a Sigma Art 35 and the Canon 135 f2 when I shot weddings. A pair of 6dIIs would also do the job

But all that is dependent on your style and as you’re experienced you probably know what that is.
