Greetings from Africa...

Hello chaps...and Ladies of course -

I am a middle-aged fellow living in the heat of Africa, some 600km from the Kruger National Park, which is my 'Man Cave' which I retire to as often as possible.

I am happily married with two teenagers at Varsity (which accounts for my having to scrimp and save for a new lens!) and my passion is Wildlife in general and Avian Photography in particular. Let me hasten to add that whilst I am an old hand at film, I am an embryo when it comes to digital, and have yet to remove my 7D from it's wrapper.

Here's hoping to find a few chums among you...

Welcome Paul. I lived in SA for + 30 years, and only returned to the UK because my wife felt she had to come back for a couple of reasons. That's in the past now and we'll be going home again, for good, in the next month or two.

I spent April and early May in Jhb, and it was getting a bit chilly by the time I left! Still, a Jhb winter is usually better than a UK summer.
