My name is Barry and I'm hailing from the Isle of Wight.
Have used Nikon equipment for most of my photographic life.
Like so many others I started using film, spending many happy hours in the darkroom.
Now I'm totally digital, although I do miss working in the darkroom.
So far I have noted some incredible shots posted by members - very inspirational.

A quick question: How to I access the classifieds section(s)? All of these related forums are displayed as "private". I have read the rules associated with these forums, but cannot see what is preventing access.

Hi and welcome to TP

We have some folks hereabouts from both the IoW and Horsham.

Re: Classifieds ~ IIRC you need to have a post count of 50 before access 'happens' (I am sure a mod or two will chime in and correct me if I have mis-recalled this function ?) AFAIK and you may appreciate Classifieds is a service to/for the members........ so do get involved with the various sub fora and I look forward to seeing your image posts :)
 
Welcome Barry. I went to the IOW quite a lot when I lived in Southampton when younger.
 
@BEofHorsham the classifieds are deliberately not available until new members have demonstrated that they are here to join in and contribute, and not just to use it as a free alternative to a certain auction site. It's a benefit of the site rather than a feature, if you get me.
Anyway, welcome aboard and we look forward to seeing your images in various places over time.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your welcome message. Yes, the Island is still a great place, moved back four years ago after extensive travel.

You obviously missed these in that case.
